Who is Coolest? Mountains or Coast?
Take two up and coming wine regions, a highly regarded chef and a very unique location and you have an evening that promises to be nothing short of exquisite. The Alpine Valley Vignerons in conjunction with the Alpine Shire Council and Dinner Plain Management Committee challenges Wines Geelong to a wine duel.
When:- Saturday June 14, 2008, 7pm
Where:- Onsen Retreat and Spa, Dinner Plain
How:- A black tie event with menu highlighting local Alpine Valleys gourmet produce, created by Michael Ryan from Range, Myrtleford (Two Chefs Hats 2008) and Tsubo, Dinner Plain. Head Chef for the evening will be Hamish Nugent, of Tsubo. Each or the four courses will be served with two masked wines. One wine will be from the Alpine Valleys and one from Wines Geelong. Guests will sip both wines and pass judgement on their favourite. At the end of the night the votes on all the wines will be added up and the winner declared.
