Dinner Plain Snow Park

Dinner Plain's Snow Park is the perfect place for your snow adventure.

Learn to ski or snowboard on a nice and easy slope or launch yourself down the hill on a snow tube.

Gentle slopes and fully automated snow making provide great conditions for learning to ski and snowboard in a safe and convenient location away from Hotham's steeper slopes.

Snow play is highly encouraged for familiarising young kids with the snow environment... and for having loads of fun!

Dinner Plain is a unique alpine village providing a great family environment located just 15 minutes drive south-east of Hotham

A Hotham / Falls Creek all mountain Lift Pass is valid for skiing at Dinner Plain, however, you can save money buy purchasing a Dinner Plain only lift pass if you only intend to ski at Dinner Plain.

Skiing and Snowboarding

If you haven't experienced the thrill of sliding on snow on a pair of skis or snowboard before, the Snow Park is a great starting point. The Snow Park has a big, wide easy slope where you can practice your snow plow pizzas and falling leaf manouveurs (this will all make sense to you after a lesson)!

There's a poma lift that tows you up the top of the slope. A Lift Attendant will show and explain to you how to use the poma.

To use the poma lift you need to have a valid Lift Pass that will give you unlimited rides for the day of the Lift Pass.

Ages for lift passes

  • Adult: 18-64 years of age
  • Senior: 65-69 years of age
  • Child 6-17 years of age (children are bigger at Hotham this year!)

Additional Dinner Plain activities and facilities

Snow Tubing
Sliding on snow is the most fun you can have with a tube!

Launch yourself down one of two tubing lanes and the tow will pull all the tubes back up to the top again. The tube lanes are elevated to an easy gradient which gather speed for a fun and exhilerating ride to the bottom where a ramp pulls you to a nice and easy stop. It's not too steep but not too slow. Tubing is easy and safe for kids from 4 years old and 100cms tall to ride by themselves.  Tubing is open daily in Winter and Saturday evenings under lights. See more on Snow Tubing

Snow Play
There is now a NEW snow play area in Dinner Plain at Scrubbers End near the Cobungra Platter. Car parking is available adjacent to the park. The snow play area is open daily during the Winter season.

Night skiing
Ski and board under the stars every Saturday night in Winter from 6pm to 8.30pm. New tower lights at the park make it easy to go for a ski after dinner.  See more on night skiing

Toboganning
There is a designated area next to the Cobungra Platter Lift for snow play and tobogganing. Tobogganing can be dangerous and like all alpine activities involves inherent risks. For your safety please obey all signage when tobogganing. The toboggan slope may be closed due to insufficient snow depth or inclement weather. Toboggans are available for hire at Pinnacle DP, located on Big Muster Drive in Dinner Plain.

Cross Country Skiing
The 35km network of cross country ski trails are groomed regularly. Private Cross Country Skiing lessons are available. Please contact Hotham Ski & Ride School on 03 5759 4450. See more information on Cross Country Skiing at Hotham and Dinner Plain.
