For this position we require a person that has a high level of customer service skills, attention to detail, are self motivated and have had previous experience in a similar role. There will be a high level of product training given to support this position.

Day Care
 
Our Day Care Centre offers the parents of children aged 3 months to 5 years of age the ability to enjoy the slopes. Children are amply supervised and offered the freedom to express their creativity and talents through the innovative daily programming. All of our Day Care staff has a passion for working with children, patience and a friendly personality. Customer service is of the highest priority for all staff, and everyone is expected to wear a smile to work.

As a Hire Attendant you will be required to assist our guests with selection and fitting of Ski or Snowboard equipment in accordance with their experience and their requirements. You will be able to identify the best equipment option for our guests and duties may also include retail hardgood sales and maintenance of the rental fleet.

We supply the services of a full reservations and travel consultancy company known as Hotham Holidays. Ski Tuning Technicians (must be experienced)
 
Throughout our five hire outlets we offer a first grade ski tuning service. You must possess prior experience on ski tuning machinery (Montana). Our ski tuning objectives are: to provide a high end service in the servicing and repairs of our guests equipment; to minimise the amount of time equipment is removed from our rental fleet for repairs; to maximise the enjoyment our guests receive from use of our rental equipment and to maximise the life of our rental fleet through systematic maintenance.

Snow Groomers (must be experienced)
 
Mount Hotham Skiing Company owns and operates a fleet of 7 Kassbohrer grooming machines including current model Park Bully and Winch Machines. We have a dedicated and experienced crew who pride themselves on delivering the best possible skiing and boarding conditions to our guests. Constant improvement of the guest experience is a goal of Mount Hotham Skiing Company and we are seeking operators experienced in Free, Park and Winch operations.

Snowmakers (experience preferred)
 
Previous experience in snowmaking or other ski area experience (i.e., lift operations) is preferable: however, there are a limited number of training positions for those with no prior experience. A trade background or similar would be an advantage.

Snowsports Instructors

From the novice to the expert, everyone can use some extra help in improving their skiing and / or snowboarding skills. Hotham’s Snowsports Centre has part-time and full-time positions available for Adult and Child Ski and Snowboard Instructors for those with or without prior instructing experience. Mount Hotham’s Instructors are a team who enjoy skiing / snowboarding and want to share this with anybody who is keen to learn. Possessing excellent customer service skills and patience, it is the job of an instructor to ensure that every customer finishes each day on the mountain with a smile on their face. Reasons to be a Snowsports Instructor:

Tickets
 
Those who come to Hotham take advantage of the great slopes on offer by riding our lifts. We have 4 ticket sales outlets offering daily, multi-day, and season lift passes as well as sales for the helicopter service to and from Falls Creek, Sparkling Sunset Tours and other specialised products. Ticket Office staff are required to identify the customer’s needs and up-sell Mount Hotham Skiing Company products where possible. Products include lifts, lessons and equipment hire. All work is conducted indoors and requires ticket sellers to interact face to face with most of our guests. Customer service is of the highest priority for all Ticket Office staff and everyone is expected to wear a smile to work.
