Terrain Parks

Hotham has three Terrain parks across the resort - the Basin Rail Park, the SBX/SX course and the Summit Terrain Park.

Basin Rail Park

The Basin Rail Park is located behind Hotham Central under Swindlers deck.  It features a range of beginner, intermediate to advanced boxes and rails. Enjoy lunch or a beverage on Swindlers Balcony whilst being around the atmosphere of a fun and exciting environment.

Summit Terrain Park

The Summit Terrain Park is situated skiers right of the Summit Chairlift. The park features beginner, intermediate and advanced lines of jumps, rails and boxes throughout the area. Please note that this park is snow and weather dependent and the Terrain Park Crew judges opening depending on these conditions.

Skier/Boardercross Course

The boardercross course features burms, jumps and rollers.  This course is available for public use outside of training hours and events.  The course is also snow and weather dependant and will be opened depending on these conditions.

Helmets

The Australian Ski Areas Association recommends the wearing of helmets for skiing and riding, and encourages you to educate yourself on the benefits and limitations of helmet usage.

All guest participants, of whatever age, in a Snowsports School or other resort departments such as Resort Team or Winter Sports Clubs, which involve or include terrain parks, pipes, skier/boarder cross and/or race courses be required to wear an accredited ski or snowboard helmet.

All guest participants in what is generally known as Kids and Children’s Snowsports School Programs are required to wear an accredited ski or snowboard helmet, and that there be no opt out facility or ability by a parent or guardian.  Helmets are provided to all children renting equipment and /or participating in a Kids Snowzone lesson program.
