All the staff got into the spirit today for ‘Christmas in July.’ Christmas trees and decorations adorned Hotham Central and the staff were all looking forward to a BBQ lunch.

Skiing on the groomed slopes today was one of the best skiing experiences! Wax up your skis, strap on your board because it is going to be a fantastic week ahead.

Grab your skis or boards and get up to Hotham this week because the snow is here in a big way.

With Orchard/Keoghs set to open tomorrow, and the snow storm just beginning (looking out the window now the snowflakes are huge!!), the slopes will be the place to be tomorrow morning.
If you are driving up the mountain remember all cars must carry chains, and drive slowly and carefully in the snow. Currently all vehicles are required to fit chains, including four wheel drives.

Oh – and official word is that we have had 20cm of snow already fall today. And did I mention it is still falling?!
Gotta go – the ski runs await!

See you on the slopes.

Another nine cm of snow fell over the last twenty-four hours adding extra powder to the already well covered slopes and increasing our anticipation of the Orchard opening in the next few days.

The Mountain Fresh Festival started yesterday with great success. From 3 – 6pm this afternoon there is wine tasting inside Hotham Central. Admission is free, a tasting glass is $5 and no bookings required.

Come and watch the Dragon Rail Jam competition tonight from the Swindlers balcony, finals from 6:30pm. Watch the boarders display their jumps and tricks.

Another seven cm of snow fell last night and we are expecting more over the next few days as a low pressure system is coming our way. There was fantastic skiing this morning with all the School groups making the most of the last day of their snow holiday.

The Dragon Mystery Tour Rail Jam is on tomorrow night! If you would like to register for the competition please see the lovely staff at the registration desk outside the Board Box in Hotham Central between 12-3pm tomorrow. It is a fantastic night of entertainment for competitors and spectators!
