Hotel Front Office Reception - Zirky's Mt Hotham

Located right at the top of Hotham’s slopes, Zirky’s is a family owned hotel renowned for its personal service, alpine ambience, and fabulous local food and wine. The lodge consist of 30 apartments, Guest Rooms, Bar, Bistro, Café, Sports Shop and Ski Hire. We require an exceptional receptionist/GSA. Applicants will need to be experienced in Hotel Front Office procedures and have an understanding of RMS or a similar Hotel Reservation System and a some basic book keeping/accounting experience.

Before applying for this position, ensure your skills and experiences meet the requirement of the below positions through satisfying the following criteria:

  • Use of effective Front Office skills to provide efficient service for guest registration and departure; maintain accurate guest accounts and provide accurate, helpful information.
  • Understanding of Hotel Reservation System preferably RMS, basic accounting and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Attend to all incoming calls in a professional and polite manner, constantly striving to provide exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Effective management of daily reconciliation of the Hotel’s trading including the checking and preparation of reports and statistical information in accordance with service standards and auditing procedures.
  • Ensure strict procedures are followed for all cash/credit, cheque transactions, accounting and banking procedures, issue of keys and guest confidentiality.


Position is to commence around 8th of May and comes with onsite accommodation and opportunity to enjoy all that the Mt Hotham resort has to offer, skiing, snowboarding.
