Lodge Manager Position - Australian Alpine Club Dinner Plain

In addition to daily management of the Lodge and engaging with members and guests, the Manager will prepare a two-course evening meal each day except Wednesdays (which is the Manager’s day off).

In summary, the job involves:

  • Keeping the Lodge clean, tidy and in good operating condition
  • Producing good quality evening meals (maximum 32 guests) on 6 days of the week
  • Engaging with guests to contribute the enjoyment of their stay
  • Managing suppliers and keeping meal costs within budget
  • Using initiative to deal with any problems that may arise

The successful applicant(s) will have:

  • A positive attitude and commitment to high standards of hospitality
  • Strong people skills (including with children) with the ability to effectively handle any difficult situations
  • Experience in commercial catering
  • Basic computer skills

The Package:

  • This is a contract position with an attractive salary plus potential bonus
  • Private accommodation is provided in the Lodge
  • Meals as prepared by the Manager
  • Mount Hotham resort entry permit for the season
