The Mount Hotham Racing Squad is the perfect place to develop your ski racing skills. The club has developed the reputation as one of the leading race training organizations in Australia. Their guiding principle is "...to promote, encourage and foster competitive snowsports".
The Squad's goal is to develop racers from the youngest “grommet” age group up to elite FIS standard competitors. Our primary goal is to prepare young athletes mentally, physically & technically to the level that they may compete for national selection & hopefully "one day" Olympic selection.
The club is very proud of its own “Jane Sexton"; another MHRS Squad Member who achieved freestyle selection for the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. Her performance and attitude are a credit to Hotham, the race squad and Australia.
The club also welcomes skiers of all ages who have a personal desire to "take their own skiing to the next level", via its competitive masters programs and racer entry level programs. School holiday programs have also been specifically designed to give school-aged children the range of skills necessary to achieve success in their interschools competitions.
If you are a serious racer, thinking of becoming one or simply want to further develop your talents, then the Mount Hotham Racing Squad has the program for you. As a member of the club, you will benefit in many ways beyond the ski day. The club is very social, open & friendly and you will be mixing with and developing friendships with many like-minded people. You may also access club facilities, events & promotions.
